The controller is Richard Foulkes, trading as Owner of Nothing, [POSTAL ADDRESS]. Contact hello@ownerofnothing.com.
What we hold
- Your name, email address and, if you give it, your postal address.
- The name printed on the certificate, and your number.
- For a gift: the recipient’s name and email address, the send date and any line you wrote.
- Whether you asked for immediate supply, when, and from what IP address. We have to be able to show this.
- Your order: what you paid, when, and Paddle’s transaction reference.
- If you asked to be told first: your email address and when you asked. Nothing else.
We never see or hold your card details. Paddle acts as the merchant of record for every order. Paddle is the seller of record to you, handles payment, and is responsible for charging and remitting any sales tax or VAT due in your country.
Why
To issue your Nothing, send the certificate and deal with any refund or question. The lawful basis is performance of the contract, and our legal obligations for the tax and consumer records.
If you ticked “Tell me if Nothing goes anywhere”, we may email you about Nothing in future. That is based on your consent. Every such email has an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw at any time by telling us. We never send these to a gift recipient. The same applies if you asked to be told first at the foot of the homepage.
What is public
Nothing. There is no public list of owners, and your name, your recipient’s name and your number are never published.
Who else sees it
Paddle, to take payment. Our email provider, to send the certificate. We do not sell or rent your details to anybody.
How long we keep it
Order and consent records for six years, because tax and consumer law require it. Everything else until you ask us to delete it.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, correct it, have it deleted, or object to our using it. Email us and we will do it within a month. You can also complain to a data protection authority: in Cyprus the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection, and in the UK the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies and runs no third-party analytics. Paddle sets what it needs to take a payment during checkout.
